  • 400 g Minced beef
  • 1 Small Onion Diced
  • 1 Egg
  • 30 g Breadcrumbs
  • Pinch of Nutmeg
  • 50 g Cheddar grated
  • Drizzle of Rapeseed Oil
  • 8 Mini Brioche Buns
  • 100 g Donegal Crab Meat
  • 8 stick Tomato
  1. 75g Mayonnaise
  2. 4 Gherkins
  3. 12 Capers
  4. Squeeze Lemon Juice
  5. Method
  6. For the burgers fry the diced onion in the oil. Place the minced beef in a bowl, then add the cooked onion, egg, nutmeg and bread crumb. Add grated cheese and combine together and form 8 evenly shaped little mini burgers. Set aside
  7. To make the tarter sauce place everything a blender and blitz.Mix the tater sauce with the crab meat.
  8. Fry the mini burgers on both sides in a pan and transfer to oven to cook through in the centre. Toast the brioche buns. Serve the mini burgers on top of the brioche bun base then add a spoonful of the crab meat mix. Add slice of tomato the brioche bun top and serve.Brian’s Tip. Replace crab with prawns freshly grilled.
